Since everyone is doing a recap year in pictures, I thought I’d jump on the bandwagon and add in my two cents. This past year was a whirlwind of a year filled with hardship, laughs and I’m glad to say ending in happiness. New Year’s Eve is in like.. Two days. Whoops… Sorry to get on this so slow!
The year started out great as I embarked with my brother, sister, and friends to the last light festival in Itoman.
This was one of the last times I was in Tokyo. It was the After JET Conference and I thought I should see what kinds of opportunities were available. During that time, I had the awesome opportunity to meet Stu in Tokyo and collaborate on a few videos.
My three year journey was slowly solidifying to an end. It was the graduation of the students I had since they were sophomores. It was very bittersweet.
This was kind of a blah month so nothing really exciting happened. Please enjoy this beautiful picture of Okinawa instead. Hahaha.
I spent an amazing golden week on my favorite outer island, Tokashiki with my girlfriends. It was super enjoyable, relaxing and everything I’ve ever wanted for a beach bum getaway.
After talking to Aaron for months, we finally met in June. This picture was taken at a romantic getaway at Ikei Beach.
July was full of so many feels. I didn’t cry until I was on the plane leaving Okinawa for good, but saying goodbye to great friends and amazing people was tough. Thank you everyone, for making my time on Okinawa so wonderful. I still greatly miss you all!
August was a time of many hellos. Hello to my family, best friends, and homeland. I got to spend time with my brother and Keri down in Texas. It was probably one of the best months all year!
It was a hot September this year and it was a time for new beginnings and friends as I embarked on my new chapter in Korea.
I finally got to live out my cosplay fantasy of becoming Sailor Moon for Halloween. Thanks Aaron, for being a great sport and being Tuxedo Mask.
Aaron and I decorated his first Christmas tree together. It was a wonderful and merry time. It really put me in the Christmas spirit.
Spending time away from home sucks, but this Christmas was wonderful because it was my first one with Aaron (and my boyfriend present). We saw Christmas lights and enjoyed each other’s company.
What are you looking forward to in the New Year?
