Before I get down to the nitty gritty of the post, I want to announce I’ll be making some big changes this year. When I began my expat journey, Gina Bear was an online diary chronicling my misadventures in Japan. As you know, it eventually grew and opened the door to the beginning of a new dream. My life revolves around my love for travel and an amazing opportunity has popped up in Korea! Check out why you should visit the Korea Travel Expo 2017.
Many foreigners don’t know all the beautiful places Korea has to offer. I’ve actually had a friend confide Korea isn’t culturally rich compared to other countries… (Insert face palm and eye roll here.) What they don’t know is all the amazing packed inside the Land of the Morning Calm.

This year’s theme is New Discovery About My Country. The Expo is dedicated to showcasing unknown restaurants, beautiful destinations, and cool streets. Wrap this up in a pretty bow and I introduce the “taste and beauty of the ROK.” I guess this is one of the reasons they call it rockin in the ROK. You catch my drift?
Vistors will receive hands on learning about regional cultures around the country. While looking at incredible scenery from Korea, this is sure to ignite your wanderlust. Travel information will be provided by tourist service businesses like hotels, travel agencies, resorts, theme parks and transport.

What’s more, if you’re a travel blogger/vlogger like me, don’t miss this opportunity to connect with popular travel writers giving counseling and lectures. Even if you’re not, do you like free stuff? Be sure to grab free souvenirs and purchase local products not available in Seoul.
As humans, we crave interaction and telling stories and enjoying them has been embedded in us since the dawn of time. Some information will be provided in English and storytellers from the booths are culture and tour guides from each region waiting to educate and guide you to your next potential travel destination.
If you’re not one to just sit around and listen to stories, you can enjoy booths featuring performances and culture. For those that can’t travel much, there’s no excuse because the show is coming to you!
I dare you to explore new crevices of Korea and renew your excitement as put new places on your bucket list. Grab your pen and some paper and prepare to take notes.

Hosting the event is the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism under the supervision of the Korea Tourism Association. You know you’re in good hands when two dedicated boards come together to bring guests an exciting experience. The expo will present more than 150 local governments and 400 organizations from all over the country. Like most Americans, I value choice and with choice, one is bound to find something they love! It is expecting that the Expo will be the largest tourism exposition with 650 booths.
As a dedicated travel blogger and Korea lover, I promise to deliver more exciting places to visit in Korea as I
slowly make the transition to a full time travel writer. Are you ready to whet your appetite with jaw dropping places and delectable foods? If you’re just as stoked as I am, click here to pre-register for the expo!
