Life update details below⬇️

I’m not ready to talk about what’s been going on since May, but I am ready to share some stuff.

1. I’ve been actively losing weight. I’m not on any weight loss medication. I’ve been kinder to myself and allowing myself the beauty of food nourishing my body and making me strong. I’ve finally managed to get a lot of my sugar cravings under control and it feels amazing.

2. Living a slower life means less stress. I still have anxiety, and depression sometimes makes me unable to get out of bed. But that’s okay. The moral is, try again tomorrow, and be kinder when the hard days win.

3. I’ve had more time to read and watch anime. I recently read The Poisoner by @ophallic and I really enjoyed it. I also watched an anime called 86 and the storyline sucked me in right from the get go. P.S. since I speak Japanese, I really enjoyed the soundtrack from the show. Avid by Mizuki is probably one of the most beautiful songs I’ve heard this year. 10/10 recommend.

4. A slow life also means more time with my fur baby. We have long walks in the morning, play a lot more, and get to bond more when I brush her. (Especially now because her fluff is so long.)

5. I am struggling, but I’m working with a mental health facility to help me manage a lot of my symptoms and I feel better. It’s nice to just let it all out.

3. Promontory Point - it’s popular year round for seasonal activities!
4. Navy Pier - It’s free to walk around! Make sure to check out their pumpkin nights!
5. Lincoln Park Boardwalk - You can get epic views of the Chicago skyline here.

Hocus Pocus filming locations in Salem!🔮🎃🍂

Hocus Pocus Filming Locations
1. Ropes Mansion - Allison’s house
2. Salem City Hall - Halloween party location where “I Put a Spell on You” was performed.
3. Max & Dani’s House - This is actually someone’s place of residence. If you do take photos, be quiet and respectful. I took my photos in the street using a 50mm lens.
4. Salem Pioneer Village - this is where Thackeray Binx lived.
5. Salem Common- This is where Allison rejected Max and also the building in the back was the backdrop of the high school.
6. Old Burial Hill - It’s outside of Salem, but this is where Max got bullied.

Planning a trip to New England for autumn? If so, you should definitely stop in Salem, the Halloween capital of the USA!

TIPS ON DOG TRAVEL🐶🐾✈️

1. Pack the essentials - I always have a clip on food and water bowl attached to Honey’s carrier. In addition, I also recommend bringing your pet’s essential medication in your carryon.

2. Introduce your dog to their carrier - The first time I flew with Honey was from South Korea to Texas. I got her used to her carrier two months before we flew.

3. Make sure your dog is microchipped - Every dog parent’s worst nightmare is losing their baby. Make sure your fur baby is protected.

4. Research pet friendly hotels! My favorites are @marriotthotels @marriottbonvoy @virginhotels

5. Always call to reserve your pet’s space - Airlines have restrictions on how many pets are allowed on a flight.
