So why should you trust me above all the other bloggers out there? Simple. I lived in South Korea for five and a half years and know the country like the back of my hand. I’m not someone who spent five months backpacking around the country and calls herself an expert. I actually know what I’m talking about.

In addition, I studied Korean in Korea, lived, worked, and loved in Korean society. This is rare insider knowledge of the country you’re not going to find anywhere else.

My ebook is a full guide to autumn in Korea. All the activities, places, and things are things I have personally done myself. During the pandemic especially, I challenged myself to find new places, take creative photos, and explore to my heart’s content. Autumn in Seoul is a special time of year with Korean fall festivals, Halloween in Korea activities, and with the fall leaves in Korea changing to vibrant colors.

My guide is 88 pages full of knowledge and comes with a special map that is completely done for you. You won’t have to guess where to go. I’ve already extensively planned the trip for you.

At the end of the day, this is your fall in Korea trip. Take days out, add things in, and do what you want. The point is to have fun!

This Korea guide is for you if…

🎎 You want to experience Korean culture.
🏮You want to see other parts of Korea besides Seoul.
🎏You want to eat, drink, and play like Koreans.
🎊 You want to go to places worth visiting.

This Korea guide is NOT for you if…

🎥 You only care about Kpop, Kdramas, and seeing if you can get OPPAR.

I’ll only say this once. I DO NOT CARE ABOUT BTS. I do not see any reason to stalk Kpop celebrities or trainees outside of their work place. This kind of obsessive behavior is unhinged and I do not condone it.

Traveling Korea is so much more than popular media. It’s a vibrant country that has been around for thousands of years and has so much to teach us about history and culture.

That being said, I truly hope you enjoy this ebook. I put my entire heart and Seoul into it.

AMAZING GUIDE!!! I have never been to Seoul so when looking on good travel guides. I stumble onto this one. It is detailed, well designed and does not break the bank for my travel plans!! Absolutely a must buy when taking a trip to Seoul!!!!

I thought the guide would be nice but it really went above and beyond my expectations! You can really tell it comes from someone who loves traveling and is not your “average tourist”. I loved the extra content like useful Korean phrases and checklists, and especially the details about the weather/temperature! I work with travel content/tourists and this is so often overlooked, but it’s essential when you’re packing to go to the other side of the globe. I have been to Korea before and I can confirm the things I have experienced already are perfectly described in the guide so I have no doubt the rest will be just as accurate. I also appreciate the structure: the guide is super rich, it ranges from photo spots to historical details about traditional holidays, but there are no wall of texts or bulky paragraphs, I can see myself referring back to it easily as I am on the road. There’s also a handy itinerary for a couple of weeks – although the first thing the author recommends is to make the trip truly YOURS the same way she made the guide hers – and a link to her Wanderlog map. If I had to make any suggestions, I would say thay having slightly bigger maps for the foliage would be good (maybe one map per page?), but honestly, it’s such a small thing. I am so excited to be using this guide for my upcoming trip in September/October 2024!

After reading Gina Bear’s new book, I must say, I am in awe of the careful planning, vivid images, details, and helpful layout. For both new visitors to Korea and veterans alike, this book provides a great selection of restaurants and cafes as well as cultural sites to visit. It was also so nice and refreshing to see day trips outside of Seoul! I appreciated the links for different tours, hanbok rentals, and restaurants for easy planning, and the checklists for things to see and places to go on day trips really simplify the stress that comes with visiting a new place. With as well tested as every location is (with stunning images provided by the author), I feel that I could choose any of Gina Bear’s recommendations and have a wonderful time. The list of festivals was particularly striking to me! It makes easy planning. I was most fond of the leaf-peeping predictions and locations! For any traveler or resident of Korea, whether it’s your first day or your tenth year, this guide is a wonderful resource for any autumn Korea trip. I’m already planning my next trip, thanks to this guide! If I could give it more than five stars, I would!

Saying this book is helpful is somehow a complete understatement. If you’ve ever wanted to travel but you didn’t want to through to planning process, pick up this book. She breaks everything down for you! From time frames too where to go and what to wear while you’re there. It’s your own personal travel companion. The thing I really loved the most is that there’s Hangul throughout the book. So, if you have it with you and need help, you could show a national and they might be able to assist you. You can really tell the amount of time and effort that went into making this and I can’t think of a better way to see all south korea.
