UPDATE: DB STORY has changed their location.
Seoul never runs short of interesting cafes and this awesome cafe has people going wild because you can custom make your own case. Why go out and buy a cell phone case when you can spend a relaxing afternoon DIYing? Is decoden your thing? They have the whip and nozzles. If you love all cute things Japan and Korea consider stopping by and doing a diy cell phone case at DB Story in Seoul.

About the DB Story Cafe Experience
When you walk into the cafe it looks like a girly cell phone case heaven. There are pre-made cases lining the walls so if you fall in love with one of those or can’t decide what to make, there’s that option to fall into. Also, there are music boxes that come decorated if you’d like to purchase one of those. The walls are also lined with every cute character you can think of from Totoro to Winnie the Pooh. Some come flat or are sparkly to cater to a wide variety of tastes. You’re given a tray to put your phone case on one side and the items to decorate in the pockets on the side. As you all know, I am weaboo trash so I opted to use white cream and many Sailor Moon inspired decorations.
Recommendations
With so much to choose from, where to start? I personally love the decoden style, but I would suggest starting with looking at the phone cases around the store and checking out DB Story’s Instagram for inspiration. If you think the cafe is only for women, I see tons of couples designing couple phone cases because in Korea, the couple is king. Weekend afternoons and evenings seem to be the most popular times to visit. Make a reservation ahead of time or wait in the cafe for your turn to be seated.
Cost
All phone cases are at a fixed price of 2,500 won. There are no prices on any of the items (brilliant business marketing in my opinion) so you can feel free to go crazy with what you want. There are some key rings that are expensive, with the most expensive one being 6,500 for a Sailor Moon key ring. Expect to spend between 10,000 – 35,000 won.

The diy phone cases are adorable. The variety of accessories can spoil you with choices and I would definitely get baffled. Such fun things to do in Seoul.
These are so wonderful. My daughter is going to love them. We both like pretty cellphone covers but I never knew you can have a DIY one as well. When I head to Seoul, I am definitely going to get one of these.
