Back in 2018 when I first adopted my rescue Pomeranian Honey, there weren’t many dog friendly places in Seoul. Now, there are more pet owners who want to bring their beloved pets with them so there’s a lot more dog-friendly places in Seoul.

Honey is not just my beloved pet… She is my best friend, trained service animal, and one of my most trusted family members.

I would like to note in Korea, although service animals are protected, many Koreans are very ignorant about them. Many believe there are only service dogs for the blind when in fact, service dogs help aid in all sorts of disabilities.

Dog Friendly Parks in Seoul

Han River Park

Animal friends are always welcome here for a picnic. This is also a public park so there should be no problems. Don’t forget to get your chimaek (chicken and beer).

Haneul Park

Located in World Cup Park, this is one of the best places to take pictures of the silver grass in Autumn in Korea. Since there are many open fields, dogs of all breeds are welcome. I often brought Honey here to enjoy the weather and atmosphere.

Seoul Forest

Seoul Forest is one of the most dog-friendly places in Seoul because it is a public outdoor park. Many people go there to hang out, have picnics, and enjoy the outdoors.

Seoul Children’s Grand Park

This space is a park complex in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Facilities at Children’s Grand Park include hills and hiking trails, Zoo, garden, and an amusement park.

IJoa Pet Park Seoul Branch

If you’re looking for a pet playground and to socialize with other dog owners, you have to visit. They offer a variety of services such as a dog park, cat park, sky park, pet hotel, and training academy.

They even have a grooming and spa for your furry companion. It’s a huge space and you can even go to the pool with your dog!

Dog Friendly Restaurants in Seoul

There are now loads of restaurants that allow dogs to enter. Of course, Korea being Korea many of these places cater to small dogs. However, you can find places that do allow larger dogs.

Southside Parlor

Dog owners are gonna love the Southside Parlor. They have super friendly staff and great food. I got a chance to meet one of the co-owners and his lovely dogs Bob and Jessi.

I love how they bring their own dogs to work. Note, their sister bar Pocket Seoul is no longer open. All dogs are welcome as long as they’re well behaved.

Dalmation Apgujeong

I really enjoyed going to this restaurant. They had murals of Dalmatians all over the walls and a pupicino you can order for your dog.

I tried their rose garlic pasta and it was wonderful! I also got a chance to try their new menu item, the grapefruit ade. It was refreshing and perfect for summer.

Honey could even sit in the chair and many pet owners can enjoy a meal experience with their dog.

Dalmation at Suwon Starfield Mall

This is the newest Dalmation Restaurant at the Suwon Starfield Mall. Every table has a built in booster for your dog so they can sit at the table with you.

In addition, they have a huge menu selection for dogs. I ordered the spaghetti and meatball dish for Honey. 10/10 she approves! I couldn’t not mention it because it is so worth the trip for the dining experience.

The Royal Food & Drink

The rooftop view is the most Instagram famous in Seoul. In fact, that place is only reserved for photos and you cannot sit there. They have friendly service and their staff speaks English.

Since the majority of the cafe is outside, there’s great places to sit. Honey could also sit inside with me. I hope to go back and try their brunch. Since I did get there a bit late, they were only serving drinks.

Thanks Oat Yeonnam

Let me tell you… I give this restaurant a 10/10. They have amazing and fresh smoothie bowls.

Plus, their passion fruit ade was absolutely amazing. The best part? Restaurant patrons can bring their animal companions.

The cafe has an earthy feel about it which makes it a relaxing place to eat amongst the hustle and bustle of Seoul.

Dog-Friendly Cafes in Seoul

Around Day

Many of the cafes near Seoul Forest are pet friendly. Since many people go to Seoul Forest to hang out with their friends, family, and pets, many of the cafes right outside cater to the clientele.

They’re most popular for their gateau cakes. I tried the Earl Gray one and it was absolutely fantastic!

Bite Me Sinsa

This adorable dog cafe is the best place to hang out with your furry friends. They even have a pet shop where you can buy all sorts of things for your dog.

Not to mention the photo zones are absolutely precious!

Berkeley Coffee Social

At Berkeley Coffee Social, even your cats are welcome! This is one of the more popular cafes with pet owners in Seoul (especially those with big dogs).

Their menu even offers dairy free options psych as almond milk or soy milk. If you stay late, you’ll also get amazing views of the Namsan Tower while sipping on a wine glass or two.

Cafe Pokpo

Large dogs are more welcome at Cafe Pokpo since the space is mostly outdoors. The cafe area features a beautiful mountain view with a waterfall.

There’s even a place to walk in front of the waterfall. To be completely honest, the coffee and the pastries there were super meh. You’re honestly going for the view.

Coffee Nap Roasters

This is a super unique cafe where the entire floor is made of red bricks. They have stairs which serve as a seating area and the cafe is mostly open.

Coffee Hyogwa

This is another amazing cafe I discovered while staying at my Airbnb in Gangnam. In fact, many of the establishments on the street are dog-friendly places in Seoul.

I especially love the patio setting with large tables and umbrellas. I often spent time there with Honey and hanging out with friends.

Loiter Coffee Shelter

This was one of my favorite dog friendly cafes in Seoul to date! Especially because of the scenic views of the Namsan Tower.

The staff there was super nice and even gave Honey some dog cookies which she gobbled up quickly. As a matter of fact, I saved one for the next day and she drooled for it! That’s how good the cookies there are.

Oats Coffee

Their most popular menu item is the Einspanner with a little cat design. Like all breads in Korea, the cream cheese and onion scone was sweet. Stick with the coffees because they’re wonderful!

Oats Coffee has a really homey feel to it. It kinda felt like walking into someone’s front room. Since it is so chill, many people go there to work or study.

Pawnytail

I had so much fun at this cafe and so did Honey! They have a dog friendly menu which features a dog latte made with non dairy products and a yogurt cup. Honey absolutely loved it!

Not only that she got to socialize with all the other dogs and pet owners in there. The cafe is divided in half where dog owners can go to the gated area and let their dogs roam free.

Tacky Coffee

While I was staying at my Airbnb in Gangnam, I came across an amazing cafe called Tacky Coffee. They’re a pet friendly cafe in Seoul that makes fresh daily pastries.

Their coffee is fantastic. I recommend the Hazelnut Latte and the Vanilla Oat milk Latte as well. Tacky Coffee has very chill vibes and it feels like I’m having an indoor picnic.
