About Jade Mug & Yumi’s Dress Room Experience

I personally really enjoyed my time here at the cafe only because of the dresses and the mother of the owner is a real hoot. She helped us get in and out of our dresses and was also completely transparent about which dresses would and would not fit. I loved all the accessories that could go with the gowns including tiaras, jewelry and the option to do your hair. (Which was totally awesome as they did ours for free). I think it’s a really fun place to spend indoors especially if the weather is not cooperating.

About The Menu

When you enter a Korean cafe, it is an expectation to get a drink and they have a variety of coffees, teas, and smoothies to choose from. The drinks start from 5,000 won and go up to 8,000won.

There is also a bunch of really cute dessert sets to enjoy if there’s a waiting period to try on dresses and take photos.

Recommendations

You can go at any time to the cafe, but I recommend going during the week or getting there early on the weekend. Another good thing you can do is to book a reservation. There was a group of girls who booked out the cafe for a chunk of time and went over that time. I found it really annoying to sit and wait in the cafe for the photoshoot to end in order to get my turn. Also, they have a limited number of Disney princess dresses so if someone else is wearing the dress you want, you’ll have to wait longer.

My best suggestion is to get one of the really cute tea sets if there’s a long wait and enjoy chatting with your friends before you get to become a real life princess.

Dresses

All dresses at Jade Mug and Yumi’s Dress room are available for 1-2 hour rentals. They have them broken down into certain categories and according to price. I think what makes this cafe so unique is the fact they offer Disney princess dresses from both the original cartoons and the live action ones if there are any. Below the English translations, there is a photo in Korean, for all you adventurous folk who can read it.

I’d also like to be completely transparent and let you know if you’re “plus size” in Korea (anywhere from a size 10-14 US) then you will be restricted with some of the dresses you can wear. I went with my friend Lauren, from Wayfaring Flaneur and the every day Belle dress was super duper small with no extendable features. I hope Jade Mug & Yumi’s dress room will rectify this in the future as many foreign guests visit the cafe.

Goddess Dresses

These dresses are an elegant style and non-Disney princes dresses. If you feel like dressing up and being your own damn princess like I did, then there are many beautiful dresses to choose from. I believe this also includes the season dresses for Christmas as well.

Disney Princess Dresses

From what I saw, they have a variety of princesses to choose from. They have Belle (live action and cartoon), Elsa, Anna, Aurora, Rapunzel, Jasmine, Cinderella (live action and cartoon), Snow White, and Ariel. What I find super charming is that they even offer Disney princes! Those include Aladdin, Prince Charming (from Cinderella), Prince Philip, and Peter Pan. So you can bring your boo or a handsome man and get your fairy tale photo shoot on.

Any Two Style Dresses

On the menu you can choose any of the dresses you see from every single category. I think this is great especially if you want to mix and match.

Zones

There are plenty of zones to choose from and endless photo opportunities for your Instagram, memories, or whatever it is you dig. One of my favorite installations was the dinner table with characters from Beauty and the Beast.

How To Get There

The easiest way to get there is to take Brown Line 6 to Mangwon Station and walk out of exit 2. Walk to the first major intersection and turn left. Walk about five to minutes and you will see it on your right.
