- A Spring Jacket – This is one of my most common spring essentials in Korea. I really love fleece style jackets with a lot of pockets. This is my go to during spring in Korea.
- Long sleeved shirts – This is a basic essential. It can be a lighter one so you can layer it.
- A scarf – Wear a more light silk scarf. It can double as a headband or hair tie during the day and a neck warmer at night.
- Reebok Sneakers – I never wear sandals during spring in Korea because it’s too cold… I wear cute sneakers up until the end of May.
- A Mask– Yellow dust and pollution in Korea is no joke. If you have allergies or are especially sensitive, I highly suggest a mask that will filter out the 2.5mg dust particles.

Where To Go During The Jinhae Korea Cherry Blossom Festival
Jungwon Intersection (중원로터리)
During a Korea cherry blossom festival, you’re going to go to the main festival site. Here you’ll find lots of tents with Korean festival offerings, food, and trinkets. If this is your first Korean festival, definitely spend some time checking it out. If not, then get some food and dessert and peace out.
Yeojwa Stream (여좌천)
The Yeojwa Stream has the best cherry blossom road. During the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival, it is super crowded…. Like stupid crowded. If you’re going to go, I recommend going during the week before the crowds come in on the weekends or super early in the morning so you can enjoy it.
Jaehwangsan Park (제황산궁원)
During the Jinhae cherry blossom festival in Korea, it’s quite crowded. If you’re looking for some place to escape the crowds, then try going up to the observatory here. You’ll get stunning views of the sea, city, and cherry blossoms. There’s two ways to get up the mountain. One is the back side with a colorful owl staircase and the other is in the front with a monorail.
Eat Cherry Blossom Ice Cream
Jinhae gu South Korea has cherry blossom ice cream shops all over the place. I promise you it’s not flower flavored. Since strawberry season goes until early spring, it’s strawberry flavored ice cream or vanilla flavored ice cream that has pink food dye.
Gyeonghwa Station (경화역)
The cherry blossoms in Jinhae are some of the prettiest I’ve ever seen. They have a very delicate pink hue to them. One of the most iconic pictures you’ve probably seen floating around on the internet would be here at Gyeonghwa Station. I had to wait over an hour for my picture. Was it worth it? Hell yeah. Did I photoshop the people out? Yes, yes I did.
Where To Stay in Jinhae
When I visited I actually booked a Jinhae Cherry Blossom Tour. They had the sleeping arrangements, food, and activities all planned out for us. Even if I were to do it alone, I just make it a day trip. However, if you do plan on staying the night, I recommend these accommodations in Jinhae.
How To Get To Jinhae
Public transport is the best way to get to the Jinhae Korea Cherry Blossom Festival if you plan on doing it yourself. Book yourself a train or bus in advance because these spots fill up quickly during festival season. Jinhae is the most famous city in Korea for a cherry blossoms festival in Korea.

How To Get To Jinhae By Bus From Seoul
You’ll need to go from Nambu Bus Terminal in Seoul. It takes approximately four to five hours to get there.
How To Get To Jinhae By KTX Train From Seoul
The KTX is faster and will get you to Jinhae in three hours and forty minutes. However, you will need to transfer to the Mugungwha train at Masan station to reach Jinhae.
