2. Big Blue Bear

The Big Blue Bear is definitely a great place to get pictures of downtown Denver. This 40 foot sculpture is one of the most in your face Denver Instagram spots. While most convention centers are boring, this piece of artwork by Lawrence Argent makes for an interesting and eye catching addition.

3. Coors Field

Coors Field is definitely one of the most notable. To be honest the Rockies aren’t that good, but its great in terms of Denver photo spots. After all, there’s nothing more iconic than taking pictures during a baseball game aka America’s favorite pastime.

4. Larimer Square

I’m rather fond of walking and there’ so many cool places to walk around in Denver. I love the Larimer square because it’s easily one of the coolest photography locations in Denver. Every season brings a new theme from Pride, to celebrating the home team of the Denver Broncos, and the seasons. The entire street is closed off so if you set up your tripod like me, then you can get awesome photos like this.

5. Garage Sale Vintage

Try Garage Sale Vintage for downtown Denver pictures. I love me a Chicago moment more than anything. Just check out this wall paper of a stereotypical Midwest basement. It reminded me a lot of my childhood in the 90s so I just had to snap a pic here. Garage Sale Vintage has a great vibe for retro photography spots in Denver.

6. Milk Market

For cool places to take pictures in Denver, then definitely check out the Milk Market. The Denver scenery is all about the bougie alleyways. Which I find super interesting because in Chicago trash is kept back there and its a sketchy place to go. But Denver honestly makes them so cool. They’re all done up with art and lights.

7. Marijuana Mansion

The Marijuana Mansion best place to take pictures in Denver if you’re a year long fan of 4/20. Unfortunately when I went, the Mansion was closed, but its got a lot of Instagram worthy spots. Everything in there is MaryJane themed and a great space for indoor photoshoot locations in Denver.

8. Tattered Cover Book Store

There’s so many pretty places in Denver. In case ya’ll forgot, I am an English major so reading is one of my truest delights. As a bibliophile, I love to check out unique book shops and take pictures there. Tattered Cover Book Store is easily one of my favorite downtown Denver photo spots.

9. Ramble Hotel

The Ramble Hotel is where my friends had their wedding reception. It’s one of the best photoshoot locations in Denver because of the Wish You Were Here sign and the gorgeous bar downstairs. The Ramble Hotel is one of the best places to visit in Denver if you’re looking for a bougie vibe. It’s one of the most beautiful places in Denver for aesthetic photos.

10. Talk Denver To Me Mural

The Talk Denver To Me Mural is one of the best places to take pictures in Denver because it is so noticeable. I love the play on words and these kinds of things tickle me as a language lover. This area by the Central Market square is among many great Denver photography locations.

11. Rainbow Sidewalk

With every city I go to, I always take pictures in the Gayborhood. It’s got many places to take pictures in Denver. It’s located at the intersection of 26th Street and Larimer Street. Although I do recommend exercising caution in this area. There’s a lot of homeless and some places look super sketchy.

12. Denver Love This City Mural

There are so many cool spots in Denver for murals. Honestly, Denver reminded me a lot of Austin with the murals and outwork throughout the city. You’re not cool unless your establishment has artwork. This is a great place for images of Denver.

13. Mile High Spirits

Mile High Spirits is a super unique bar in Denver. They have Silent Disco and it was one of the most interesting activities I have participated in. Basically, the DJ is going ham and you can only hear the sick beats through the headphones. It’s like a group party but without all the crazy noise. It’s hilarious when people sing along completely tone deaf. 10/10 recommend this. However, be careful if you’re going on a Saturday night because apparently shitty Colorado sports teams are more important. But if you don’t care, if a Colorado Team wins that night, the bar becomes a $20 all you can drink for two hours.

14. The Beer Spa

The Oakwell Beer Spa has some of the sweetest and nicest staff ever! They have a really cool gravity chair experience that helps massage your body and help your blood circulation. You can drink while you get beer themed spa treatments. It’s honestly one of the coolest places ever. Plus, look at this adorable bathtub for photos.

15. Union Station

If you’re looking for pretty places in Denver try out Union Station. It’s been a historic landmark for the last century and is a popular gathering spot for dining, drinking, and traveling. Union Station is great for pictures of Denver, Colorado.

16. Cruise Room

The Cruise Room located at the Oxford Hotel is one of the best places in Denver for history. This “speakeasy” originally opened in 1933 and is one of Denver’s oldest bars. It hasn’t changed much since its opening and it feels like taking a step into the past.

17. Bee Mural

The alleyway itself is kinda gross and stinky, but the mural itself looks great in photos. It reminded me a lot of the Staple Street Skybridge in New York City.

18. 54Thirty

If you’re wondering where to watch the sunset in Denver, then I highly recommend the 54Thirty Rooftop. Located on the 20th floor at the Marriott Le Méridien Hotel, it is one of the most aesthetic restaurants in Denver. You get fantastic views of downtown and the Colorado mountains. It’s easily one of the most scenic places in Denver. At night they have little bonfire pits to keep you warm. Seriously, it’s giving me all the nostalgic Midwest vibes.

19. Meow Wolf

Unfortunately, I didn’t have as much time as I would have liked to check out all the incredible art at Meow Wolf Denver. Convergence Station is the third biggest art installation. It’s also the first multiversal transit station serving Earth and home to one of Denver’s most unique performance and event venues.

20. International Church of Cannabis

Cannabis is a big part of culture for Instagram places in Denver. In 2012, Colorado and Washington became the first states to legalize recreational marijuana. I feel like if you puff puff on a little something and hang out in the church, the art will be so much more entertaining. Grab your tickets to the International Church of Cannabis here.

21. Red Rock Amphitheater

There’s always so many cool performances happening at the Red Rock Amphitheater. The location itself is cool, but the rocks and desert vibes around it is what really gives it the appeal. Famous musicians that have played in at Red Rocks include The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Jimi Hendrix, and even U2.

22. Avanti Food and Beverage

Denver is all about the food halls. At Avanti Food and Beverage there are seven tasty restaurants to choose from. Honestly, I’m so sad I didn’t get a chance to visit because it has incredible views of downtown Denver. They also have live comedy specials and other events going on throughout the year.

23. Blue Moon Brewing Company

Denver is also really big on breweries. But you can’t have people getting too crazy so you gotta serve some food too. One of the most Instagrammable restaurants in Denver is definitely the Blue Moon Brewing Company. I’ve been a huge fan of Blue Moon since I could legally drink at 21. I think its so fancy to stick an orange slice in your glass and enjoy this light beer. Since Blue Moon was born in Denver, it’s only fitting.

24. Ghost Donkey

I think Gen Z would be very proud of this photo. Definitely got the blur effect going and tongue sticking out. (Even though us millennials were doing it first.) Ghost Donkey is a Mexican themed bar and eatery. They specialize in Mezcal and Tequila. In addition, they serve up your favorite Mexican favorites like chips and salsa as well as tacos.

25. Little Man Ice Cream

I’m all about delicious ice cream in a waffle cone. Nothing hits the spot. If you’re looking for cute things to do in Denver, nothing gets cuter than Little Man Ice Cream! They serve the freshest homemade ice cream, novelties, and other scrumptious treats from an iconic landmark, a 28-foot-tall milk can.

26. Denver You’re So Cool Mural

I’m a big lover of fantastic murals and when I saw this one, I had to snap a picture! I used to have a pair of sunglasses just like the girl in the art has. I loved how reflective they were of my surroundings. So of course, I had to emulate using my “don’t talk to me shades.”

27. Voodoo Doughnuts

The first time I ever had Voodoo Doughnuts was in Denver and I was very pleasantly surprised. Their doughnuts are made fresh every day and they even have vegan options available. My favorite was their voodoo doll donut because its so extra and the raspberry filling is the bee’s knees!

28. Forest Room 5

Forest Room 5 is another place I wish I would have had a chance to explore in Denver. This is a lounge and a bar with cool bonfire pits and even a flowing creek. They also host live comedy shows.

29. Stanley Hotel

The Stanley Hotel is located in Estes Park, Colorado. In 1903, steam-powered car inventor Freelan Oscar Stanley (founder) was stricken with a life-threatening resurgence of tuberculosis. The most highly recommended treatment of the day was fresh, dry air with much sunlight and a hearty diet. Therefore, like many “lungers” of his day, Stanley resolved to take the curative air of the Rocky Mountains. It is also the filming location of the popular horror film, The Shining. In addition, the Stanley Hotel is said to be one of the most haunted properties in Colorado.

If you’re looking for the best pictures of the Colorado Mountains, the obvious thing to do is go hiking in them! These mountains are hands down the most beautiful places in Denver.
