2. Bagatelle Tulum

While in Tulum, I met a lovely lady who had an obsession for Bagatelle and made me love it too. I went to Bagatelle for my birthday because she reserved a table for us and the heart nest is easily the most Instagram worthy place there. Bagatelle is mostly a party beach club. They specialize in Mediterrian Cuisine and are super popular for brunch. If you go early, you’ll be able to take pictures at the pool all alone. You can book a table for brunch at Bagatelle Tulum here.

3. Coco Tulum Swings

Tulum wouldn’t be Tulum unless there were swings everywhere. Coco Tulum Beach Club is one of the most instagrammable places in Tulum. These black and white swings make a dreamy foreground to the beautiful beaches with white sand and water. Since this is a beach club, you can spend the day here relaxing and enjoying the beach.

Best Time To Visit: Go at 10am when it opens.
Entrance Fee: There is a minimum consumption of $25USD during the week and $50USD on the weekends.
Hours: 10am – 6pm

4. Casa Malca

Casa Malca is a boutique hotel once owned by Pablo Escobar. The property has amazing artwork and stunning architecture. The Casa Malca hanging wedding dresses is easily one of the top instagrammable places in Tulum. The famous hanging wedding dresses stand at six meters (20 feet). This beautiful display is not open to the public so the best way to take photos at this gorgeous display is by booking your stay here. Let me tell you, it’s just as beautiful in photos as it is in real life. Another good way to try and get photos is to go to the bar or restaurant.

Best Time To Visit: Visit in the morning.
Entrance Fee: During high travel seasons it costs about $711 a night or $50 at the restaurant or bar.
Hours: 24/7

5. Conestesia

While staying in Playa Del Carmen, I had the privilege of meeting some amazing people who knew the owner of Conestesia. For those of you who don’t speak Spanish they put the word conejo which means bunny and estesia which means feeling. Making the name of the place as bunny feeling. Pretty cool, eh? There is no minimum consumption at Conestesia and you can stay as long as you like. If you’re a fan of house music, you’ll also really enjoy the vibe here.

Best Time To Visit: Visit in the morning.
Entrance Fee: Taking a picture in front is free, but if you want to stay at the beach club, you need to buy food and drinks.
Hours: 9am – 7pm

6. Cenote Calavera

I never thought I’d like cenotes until I experienced them in Tulum. The summer heat is unbearable in Tulum and the best way to cool down is to take a dip in the cool waters. Cenotes are sink holes filled with fresh water from rain or underground rivers. Cenote Calavera is a five minute drive from Tulum town. What makes it so popular is the ladder and the swing down at the bottom. Cenote Calavera is 4 – 6 meters (15 – 20 feet deep). There is also a photography fee of $200 Mexican Pesos ($10USD).

Best Time To Visit: Get there right when it opens or an hour before closing.
Entrance Fee: $250 Mexican Pesos ($13USD)
Hours: 9am – 5pm
Address: QROO 109, 77796 Tulum, Q.R.

7. Cenote Casa Tortuga

One of the best instagram places in Tulum is Cenote Casa Tortuga. Like all cenotes in Tulum, it is beautiful, clean, clear, and cool. Here, you will find four different cenotes in one place. I would avoid visiting during tourist season because the water gets a bit oily from sunscreen.

Best Time To Visit: Right when it opens.
Entrance Fee: $350 Mexican Pesos ($18USD)
Hours: 9am – 5pm
Address: Carr. Tulum – Cancún 239, Ejidal, 77780 Tulum, Q.R.

8. Dos Ojos Cenote

Dos Ojos Cenote is located in a park with two other beautiful cenotes. You can purchase a pass to visit all three for $650 Mexican Pesos ($33USD). I chose this option and had the best time cenote hopping. The main cenote is made up of two caverns connected by a passage, thus earning the name Dos Ojos.

Since the cenote is a well-known Instagram location in Tulum, you have to pay a photography fee of $200 Mexican Pesos (if you’re using a DSLR). Luckily, I have mad Spanish speaking skills and I convinced the workers there that no one said anything to me when I walked in and they let me snap away. If they’re in a bad mood or you look like a stereotypical tourist, you won’t be so lucky and you’ll have to pay.

Best Time To Visit: 8:30am when it opens so you can have it to yourself because it’s popular for families and divers.
Entrance Fee: $350 Mexican Pesos ($18)
Hours: 8:30 am – 5pm
Address: Cenote Jaguar Rd, 77780 Tulum, Q.R.

9. Follow That Dream Sign

I’m not a fan of large crowds and you definitely won’t find any here. The “Follow That Dream” sign is my favorite Instagram location in Tulum. You’ll find it in front of the Lolita Lolita Boutique, which I think is also great to stop in. They sell swimsuits, handmade beauty products, handmade dresses, and even fun things for the bedroom. One of the most popular things to do in Tulum is rent a bike and you can rent them at various places on the strip starting from $10.

Best Time To Visit: You can visit this place at any time. It’s very far down the strip, so there won’t be crowds of people lining up to take a photo.
Entrance Fee: FREE
Hours: 24/7
Address: Carr. Tulum-Boca Paila km 8.5, Tulum Beach, Zona Hotelera, 77780 Tulum, Q.R.

10. Gran Cenote (Grand Cenote)

Gran Cenote is beautiful for photos, but to be honest, it was one of my least favorite cenotes. The only thing it’s good for is photos, so I recommend going early and then leaving for Dos Ojos Cenote. I honestly don’t know why the Gran Cenote one of the Instagrammable places in Tulum, but here we are.

Best Time To Visit: Visit early in the morning at 8am when this cenote opens.
Entrance Fee: $300 Mexican Pesos ($15USD)
Hours: 8am – 5pm
Address: Quintana Roo 109, 77796 Tulum, Q.R.

11. Hotel Panamera

If you’re looking for other great Instagram places in Tulum, then you can’t miss out on Hotel Panamera. If you go to the hotel for food, they’ll also let you take pictures at their iconic pool.

Best Time To Visit: Any time.
Entrance Fee: Expect to spend about $20 for food there.
Hours: 8am – 10pm
Address: QROO 15 60, Tulum Beach, 77766 Q.R.

12. I Scream Bar

The only reason I Scream Bar on the list is to inform you it has closed its doors for good. By the time I got there, they had been closed two weeks. Since the locals like to gossip, and I speak the language, one of them told me that the owner didn’t want to keep paying off the cartel to leave them alone. I can imagine this song and dance gets old and so they decided to shut down. Now its just a dusty place where no one goes…

Hours: Permanently Closed
Address: Tulum Beach, Tulum, Quintana Roo

13. Kaan Luum Lagoon

If you find yourself in Tulum during seaweed season (like I did), then I highly recommend going to the Kaan Luum Lagoon to cool off. There’s no seaweed and since it’s not super popular, you won’t find a lot of people here either. The lagoon is shallow so if you can’t swim, this is perfect for you.

Best Time To Visit: You can go at any time during the day and it will be amazing.
Entrance Fee: $300 Mexican Pesos ($25 USD)
Hours: 9am – 4pm
Address: laguna kaan luum, 77760 Tulum, Q.R.

14. Nomade Restaurants | La Popular & Macondo

The Nomade Restaurants have a beautiful Moroccan and earthly aesthetic. This is perfect for your beach loving boho vibes. I think this is one of the best Instagram places in Tulum since it is so chill.

Best Time To Visit: You can go right when it opens for less people.
Entrance Fee: Food costs anywhere from $397 Mexican Pesos ($20USD) to $1,983 Mexican Pesos ($100USD).
Hours: 12pm – 11:30pm
Address: Carr. Tulum-Boca Paila Km 10.5, Tulum Beach, Zona hotelera, 77880 Tulum, Q.R.

15. Matcha Mama

Another of the most famous Instagrammable places in Tulum is Matcha Mama. The white hanging swings, and “I Love You So Matcha” sign are just super iconic. I give Match Mama the Gina Bear seal of approval because the matcha isn’t sweet. I despise sweet matcha with a passion, so this place is PERFECT. Come grab a cold and tasty drink and enjoy your time. Also, Matcha Mama is very close to other popular spots like the “Follow That Dream” sign, Vagalume, and Casa Malca.

Best Time To Visit: Visit in the morning during the week because there are less people around.
Entrance Fee: Drinks cost $100 ($5USD) Mexican Pesos.
Hours: 8am – 6pm
Address: Quintana Roo 15 470 Zona Hotelera • 77780, Zona Hotelera, 77780 Tulum, Q.R.

16. Playa Paraíso

It’s not a tropical beach destination without a crooked palm tree to hang on. Am I right, or am I right? The palm tree here is crooked enough to climb on and makes for amazing Tulum Instagram photos.

Best Time To Visit: Go early in the morning so you can get the perfect lighting and photos.
Entrance Fee: FREE!
Hours: 24/7
Address: Unnamed Rd, Zona Hotelera Tulum, 77780 Tulum, Q.R.

17. Selina Tulum

This is also not that popular of a spot, but the wooden structure made to look like a tunnel to fun times definitely had me sold. It honestly makes for such an amazing photo.

Best Time To Visit: You can go at any time during the day. There will not be many people there.
Entrance Fee: FREE!
Hours: The entrance is open 24/7.
Address: Carr. Tulum-Boca Paila Km. 7.5, Tulum Beach, Zona Hotelera, 77780 Tulum, Q.R.

18. Tulum Ruins

This is one of my least favorite places I visited in Tulum. It’s beautiful for photos when there are no people around, but it was the most touristy place I went. There are hoards of tour buses dropping people off and I was so overwhelmed after an hour I left. Spare yourself the time and effort it takes to get to the Tulum Ruins. Also note the only reason no people are in my photo is because I edited them out.

Best Time To Visit: 9am when it opens.
Entrance Fee: $80 Mexican Pesos ($4USD)
Hours: 9am – 3pm
Address: Carretera Federal, Cancun – Chetumal Km 230, 307, 77780 Tulum, Q.R.

19. Tulum Sign

The Tulum sign isn’t one of the top Instagrammable places in Tulum because of how unique it is. It’s located in front of the Cervecería Tulum so make sure you bring a DD and a camera man or lady to fully enjoy this. The sign is made out of wood with the letters decorated beautifully. There’s even swings in the U.

Best Time To Visit: any time!
Entrance Fee: FREE
Hours: 24/7
Address: Cancun – Chetumal Km 230, Parque Tankah, 77789 Tulum, Q.R.

20. Vagalume Tulum

Vagalume Tulum is a newer beach club with the theme of hands. I really like the aesethic and the name Vagalume is actually Portuguese for firefly. The design has very Bali-esque themes. You’ll get beautiful rugs, wooden chairs, and a very natural vibe with the decor. The bridge being held by the hand is one of the best Instagram places in Tulum. The entrance is also quite popular as it has a unique design.

Best Time To Visit: Visit when it opens at 7am.
Entrance Fee: The entrance is free, but you are required to get food and drinks if you’d like to go inside.
Hours: 7am – 10pm
Address: QROO 15, Tulum Beach, 77776 Q.R.

21. Ven a la Luz Tulum

Ven a la Luz is iconic Instagrammable places in Tulum. This stunning structure is in the form of a woman baring her chest and inside everything is in bloom. The sculpture has since moved and is now located within the Hotel Ahau facilities, in the garden next to the beach. Raw Love is next door which is a delicious smoothie bowl restaurant. It’s a perfect cold treat after being out in the sun all day.

Best Time To Visit: Get here early between 7am – 8am to avoid the long lines.
Entrance Fee: FREE
Hours: 24/7
Address: QROO 15, Tulum Beach, Q.R.
