About the Cafe Experience
There’s plenty of cute dogs that greet you by a green wooden picket fence to help build your excitement. Bau House is very clean. There’s a very faint smell of dog (what do you expect from a bunch of dogs together?), but the staff is constantly swiffering the floor and cleaning up if the dogs have accidents. The dogs are very well groomed, taken care of, and fed. They’re also extremely sociable… For a dog treat. Or you can just be still and once the dogs want attention and love, they’ll come crawling into your lap and fall asleep.
Recommendations
If you’re afraid of dogs, obviously don’t go here, but they will bark very loudly. Call ahead and make a reservation so you can be seated immediately. The Seoul Dog Cafe Bau House is separated in two different sections. I would recommend going in the front section because the dogs are smaller and cuter. If you prefer bigger dogs, go in the back section. There’s also more people back there so be warned. There’s a half hour time limit and anything over that is 1,500 won extra.
When at the cafe you must order at least one drink. They serve tea, smoothies, and shakes. They all come in plastic cups with lids so your furry friends don’t accidentally nab a bite. The drinks cost anywhere from 6,000 Korean Won to 10,000 Korean Won. I ordered an 8,000 Korean Won Oreo shake and it was the weirdest shake I’ve ever tasted. It tasted like thick whipped cream if that makes sense? To order, go up the the register and the cashier will take it, you’ll pay, and your drinks will be ready shortly. The drinks are a bit expensive but you’re paying for the experience, the upkeep of the cafe, and the care of the dogs.
Treats
The dogs are very sociable. When you feed them, make sure the treat is in your palm so they don’t bite your fingers. Puppy snacks cost anywhere from 3,500 Korean Won to 5,000 Korean Won.
How To Get There
The Bau House is located off Hapjeong Station (Line 2). Once you exit the station, make a loop around and the cafe is located in an alleyway of a shiny black building.

I’m not getting paid to write this at all. I think it’s a great cafe and totally worth the visit. I love dogs and I want fellow dog lovers out there to know this is a puppy happy/friendly environment.
