One of the best ways to beat the February Blues is obviously go where the pretty lights twinkle and the hot chocolate and coffee shops warm up your chilly bones. Everland has some pretty awesome ones and I just couldn’t stay away. I love romantic date spots, so I obviously had to go with my boo bear. I’m Gina Bear, he’s boo bear. Get it? Okay, I’ll stop with the corny crap. If you’re feeling blue, go see something blue and twinkly instead. If you’re interested, easily book your Everland tickets here.
Who doesn’t like cute animals and penguins? Get frosty with these cute penguins, giraffes, pandas, and deer.

The best part of an illumination, is a castle wouldn’t you? I loved seeing a rendition of Cinderella’s Castle and couples lined up in front to take lovey dovey photos. The top of it is just gorgeous. Easily book your Everland Romantic Illumination tickets here.
This display definitely has an Alice in Wonderland inspiration. I feel like I’m going to see the mad hatter or smoke hookah with the caterpillar.
Commemorate your love by taking photos under archways or in flower gardens.

What pretty lights! I generally try to avoid the festivals here in Korea (that’s the only places I knew about that had lights like these) as there are just so many people, but Everland looks so enchanting in your photographs!
I usually do too but in the middle of winter like January (after all the lovey dovey holidays have died down) is the perfect time to go. Obviously avoid these lights around Valentine’s day. My boyfriend and I went in the dead middle of winter and there was no one there. It wasn’t too cold either! Lucky us! 😉
Wow! I usually avoid places like Everland (I went there over Chuseok a few years ago and it was just an absolute nightmare! So many people!) but your photos of it at night make it look so romantic and peaceful x
I usually do too and any holiday is the worst time to go anywhere in Korea. I think it’s best to go out of the country during holidays like that. I was lucky when I went that there weren’t that many people.
Is this in Daegu or Seoul?
What camera do you use ? I’m trying to find one that is good in low lighting and these photos are fairly good considering the conditions!
This is in Seoul. I use a DSLR camera. It’s a Cannon Kiss. I think there’s another name for it, but it escapes me at the moment. I got it in Japan and I love it. It uses a standard lens.
Yay, it had been ages since I’d been to Everland. Thanks to my sons’ visiting cousins this coming mid-April, we have scheduled Everland for them. Hopefully, we can make it through till the end so I could get to see the parade and all these beautiful lights.
Everland is like the Korean Disney and I feel so happy when I’m here! I’m sure all children would love this park!
