I have just discovered the coolest trend for beautiful and cool Instagrammable cafes in Seoul. *drum rolls please* I would like to introduce you to The Summer Bangkok Ikseondong. It’s literally one of the most beautiful cafes I’ve ever been to and I’ve been there three times.
Literally, I just keep coming back to this stunning location. The cafe is located in an old hanok home. Mad props to the interior designer and decorator because The Summer Seoul Cafe has lots of Southeast Asia inspiration. From the three pools in the floor, to the tropical vegetation, and the green decor, it’s hard not to fall in love with this place.
P.s. If you check out the video at the beginning of this blog post, you’ll see Ikseondong and The Summer Bangkok featured there.

About The Summer Bangkok Seoul
The Summer Lounge Bar & Cafe in Ikseondong is literally the best brunch, lunch, and chill spot spot in the city. Located in Ikseondong, you get all the fancy and upscale vibes in a trendy neighborhood.
There are two sections to this cafe. The cafe portion and the restaurant portion. Since there’s more seating in the cafe part, you can easily get a drink or a high tea set and spend as much time as you’d like there.
Since it’s opening, this cafe has been super popular, so I highly recommend going in at noon when they open to get the best seat in the house.
In addition, I think the staff are overworked so when a friend and I popped in for lunchtime, some of them were kinda cranky, rude, and not very welcoming. But that didn’t stop us from enjoying the cuisine and atmosphere this beautiful place had to offer.
About The Menu
The food is also inspired by Southeast Asia with a Korean spin. Like with most foreign foods that come to Korea, I can taste that it is a little more sweet than normal. It’s not bad, but I have had Pad Thai Noodles in Thailand before and I was describe it as savory, citrusy, and with a slight smoked undertone. It’s mostly spicy but if the person eating it wants it more sweet, then there is a sugar bowl on the side.
All in all, the food I did eat there was quite tasty and I do recommend stopping by the restaurant. The food is as delicious as it looks. Just a heads up, it isn’t vegetarian or vegan friendly (apart from the drinks and snacks). However, if you eat seafood then you’ll be good to go.
In the summertime, they offer bingsu and all sorts of refreshing fruit and drink platters to help you cool off during the humid stints.
Just so you know when I used the Seoul After Seoul Tour (formerly Seoul Oppa), my tour guide and I went here quite early. It was really fun to use the service and have someone to chat with while I worked on my blog and YouTube content. Also, having an Instagram husband for the day was pretty darn swell! The Summer Bangkok Seoul is a great place to do brunch with your girlfriends, hang out with friends, or go on a date.
