Let me ask you about your first encounter with Korea. Did you learn about it through Kpop, Kdramas or friends? Maybe you saw BTS get a Billboard Music Award and you’re like, “Hot damn, boys. What magical place on earth did you come from?”

Whatever your experience is, you dig Korea you love Kpop and now you want to know how to easily get to concerts. I don’t like the headaches of navigating through Korean websites. I had the opportunity to go with Trazy Korea to the Pyeongchang Dream Concert. Since Koreans have the language and internet navigating advantage, the package is for foreigners only. That means we pay the low price of $39 a ticket!

About Pyeongchang

Seoul hosted the 1988 Olympics (Olympic Park is an awesome place to go FYI) and put South Korea onto the world stage for the first time. So why not go double whammy and host the winter Olympics too? Where is Pyeongchang and what’s so special about it? Since they won the Olympic bid, it has now been turned into a ski resort town with facilities built especially for the games. It’s located in the northeast part of the South Korean peninsula. Fun fact. If you’re into Korean dramas, the most famous drama of 2016, Goblin, had some scenes that were filmed near the luxury Alpensia Ski Resort. It’s also close to Gangneung where figure skating and ice hockey will be held.

If you’re into Kpop, large concerts are a way to see your favorite artists all on one stage. The concert was held to get people excited and rowdy for the Pyeongchang Olympics which are pretty close upon us! Are you excited to see your home country compete?

Gina Bear was invited to the Pyeongchang Dream Concert by Trazy Korea. As always, all thoughts and opinions remain my own.

6 Comments on Pyeongchang Dream Concert: How to Easily Book Kpop Concerts with Trazy

  1. Is Trazy only available for concert/event bookings or can you also purchase railway tickets or book hotels through it? I can see that such a tool is an essential help for foreigners in Korea that haven’t mastered the Korean language yet.

Speaking about Pyeongchang: I heard that ticket sales have been quite dissatisfying so far, which might not be a big surprise internationally, given the political tensions with the Northern neighbor. But I wonder: What’s the mood like in South Korea? Are people excited and looking forward to the Olympics? And what will happen to all the venues that have only been created for the Olympics? Will they still have a purpose afterwards?

  2. I have been to a similar K-pop concert before in Gyeongju and must say it was amazing! The acts follow up really quickly and everything was super organised 😀

  3. Oh my word!!!!!!! I’m so sad I can’t travel now but I’d catch up on this concert on YouTube as usual. Who do I want to see perform live? Many on the list but EXO all the way!!! I like that Trazyy was made to attend to foreigner’s needs and that I offers discounted proces the shows. Reqsing your posts about Korea makes me want to ditch my life here for a life in Korea.

  4. Wow..a tool for concert booking sounds really interesting. A one stop shop for so many different concerts. I am sure these concerts help one get to know the local culture of Korea and the atmosphere more closely. Not sure if we have something similar back home in India too

  5. Looks like it was a great event to attend in South Korea Gina and with Trazy – even better! Go you! I don’t know a lot of the acts but sometime that is the best part of live music – discovering new artists!
