UPDATE: Due to COVID-19 Urban Space Seongsu has closed their doors for good. If you’d like to check out an updated guide on the pinkest, cutest, trendiest, and most Instagram worthy cafes in Seoul, click here.
Raise your hand if you’re a girly girl. Don’t know if you are? Does your wardrobe have pink pieces, you adore really obnoxiously cute things and own them, and fuzzy animals make you happy? If you said yes, congrats, you’re a girly girl. Seoul is known for ridiculously cute pink cafes and Urban Space Seongsu is no exception.
When the weather is terrible aka the pollution in the air is rampant and makes you want to die, the cold makes your nostrils freeze, or the humidity makes you melt quicker than the Wicked Witch of the West, you’re gonna want to come here. This Urban Space in Seoul is definitely Gina Bear approved.

About the Urban Space Seongsu Experience
This place is divided into two sections—Urban Source and Urban Space. The Urban Source section is more of a cafe and eatery where you can get yummy drinks and snacks. It’s a nice place to go during the day if you need to go to a nice cafe and get some work done. You can enjoy the retro feel of the sign lighting up at night.
Then, at night you can get your party on at Urban Space. The cafe has changed a lot since the original Instagram posts, but luckily this is what really makes it stand out. It’s always good to see a business growing and changing to entertain and keep their customers coming back.
I would say the majority of clientele that come here are women, but I have seen the occasional male couple and Instagram boyfriend come in. So fellas, don’t be sad if this is what you like.
About the Menu
If you’re looking for everything Instagram worthy, then the Urban Space bar definitely has it all. There is no entrance fee, but you need to get a drink. Even though I paid like 13,000 won for my drink, it was #worthit. The drink was so beautifully made and it actually tasted good too. The Bird Cage had a perfect mixture of gin and tart. The drinks are expensive but you’re paying for the atmosphere and a relaxing time of fun.

Photo Zones
I really recommend dressing up and looking your best because you’re definitely going to want to put this on Instagram and tag it happily as the Urban Space Cafe. If you’re like me and always on the hunt for Instagram worthy places in Seoul, you’re not gonna wanna miss the multitude of photo opps this magnificent establishment provides.
Flower Wall
Fancy a bunch of pink you girly girl, you? 😉 There is an entire wall of pink flowers that makes for such a stunning display. I highly recommend wearing black or white while you take photos there because it will really pop. Pink cafes in Seoul are definitely a Gina Bear favorite.
Beauty Life
I’m still trying to figure out who Dr. Young is or if it’s a real beauty brand. One wall has a neon sign and the beauty products laid out. You’ll definitely feel pretty in this photo zone with the pink streamer sparkle wall and pink satin curtains. Feeling Instagram inspired? 😉
Rotating Sparkle Monster
This one was by far my favorite photo. They have a stand where a lever rotates to get a 360 degree angle of whatever you want. It’s adjustable and fit for your camera or smart phone. I can’t tell you how much fun we had standing there and taking slow motion videos and photos. It was by far the most amusing contraption I’ve ever encountered.
Rainbow Swing
If your fancy the sparkling unicorn rainbow life, I honestly do not blame you. Koreans are obsessed with taking the best photos and I have to admit Instagram is my favorite inspiration platform for finding the best Instagrammable cafes to bring to you. Urban Space Bar Korea will definitely have you spending hours upon hours there. Make sure all your batteries are charged and your spares brought.
The Ball Pit
I totally know you were scouring over this blog post in search of the famous ball pit. Recently, Urban space has moved it to a side wall to allow more guests and seating. The balls are still there but they also have a huge selection of Dr. Young inflatable blue hearts and more neon lights. Can you say uber fun?
How To Get There
Luckily, this is really close to Seongsu Station Line 2. Walk out of exit 4, then walk two blocks. Turn left when you see a Noodle Soup shop. You’ll walk about three minutes and see Urban Space Seoul on your right.
