2. A Court of Hearts and Hunger: A Wonderland Retelling

This is the second book in the Nutcracker retelling. And oh baby, it doesn’t get any better than steamy Christmas romance novels. 3. Jack Frost: An Immortal Warriors Romance

Our next dirty Christmas story revolves around a mythical being we all knew to bring winter… Not steam it up. Whoever thought Jack Frost would be sexy? Certainly not I, but we’re talking tall with blue eyes. A young scientist goes on an expedition to Antarctica and almost freezes to death. After leaving Jack’s fine frosty ass in the South Pole, Emery thinks everything is over and done with… Except he follows her home and is the object of his affections. 4. The Christmas Pact

Who doesn’t love a Christmas story about love? Riley Kennedy already has a bad impression of her coworker from another division, Kennedy Riley. She hates the fact he’s always giving unsolicited advice. She ignores it until they come face to face at the company Christmas party… And he’s hella hot. Somehow he’s able to charm her out on the dance floor—and convince her to participate in his crazy scheme: he’ll go home with Riley for a Christmas party and pretend to be her boyfriend, if Riley agrees to be his date to a wedding. 5. The Midwinter Bride

Yet the more of the beautiful sorceress’s secrets he uncovers during their journey to return her home, the more determined he becomes to win the princess’s wary heart. Read the Midwinter Bride by Kati Wilde here.

6. Tis The Season for Revenge

This is one of the best holiday novels for those who love a good revenge on your ex tale. Abbie Keller changed everything about herself to be the perfect girl for Richard Bartholemew Benson the Third. (What a pretentious name, eh?) She never doubted that she wouldn’t end up with his grandmother’s engagement ring on her finger. However, the dickmobile leaves her outside her apartment on Halloween crying because he said she wasn’t serious enough. Like all us gals with broken hearts we do what we do best… call our friends, get drunk, dye our hair, and formulate a revenge plan. Spicy Christmas romance books are not complete without a good revenge plot… and the opportunity arises with Richard’s hot boss, Damien Martinez. Read Tis The Season for Revenge by Morgan Elizabeth here.

7. The Mistletoe Pact

The MistleToe Pact is one of those Christmas novellas you just can’t put down. Two single thirty-year-olds. One marriage pact. And a night in Vegas that’s about to change everything… Now these are dirty Christmas stories we can all get behind… All puns intended. On Christmas Eve eight years ago Evie and Dan made a pact: if they weren’t married by thirty, they were going to marry each other. Of course, neither of them took it seriously, even if Dan has always thought Evie was pretty, and Evie has a thing for her best-friend’s brother. This Christmas book is all about loving each other secretly and second chances. Get The Mistletoe Pact by Jo Lovett here.

8. Wreck The Halls

Melody Gallard is the daughter of music royalty. However, she spends her days restoring old books and avoiding the limelight. When a producer offers a pretty chunk of change to reunite her mother’s band on live tv, Mel begins to wonder if it’s time to rock on and shake up her life. Next we get Beat Dawkins, the lead singer’s son who can charm the pants off anyone. When they met as teenagers, Melody felt an instant spark, but it’s nothing compared the intense attraction that builds as they embark on a madcap mission to convince their mothers to perform one last show. This one will definitely be decking your halls. Check out Wreck the Halls by Tessa Bailey here.

9. Santa, Please Bring Me a Boyfriend

Now did this Christmas romance book really hit me where it counts. I could relate a lot with the main character who feels like love is something that is attainable for everyone else except herself. As a lady who is now in her 30s… Many of my friends are in serious relationships, engaged, married, and/or have kids. And sometimes they make me feel bad for wanting what they have. I feel like they live vicariously through me since I pick up and go wherever the heck I feel like going…

But the grass is always greener right? In any case, our main character Rowan has an evil ex who is a complete douche canoe and loves to string her along. Her friends do their best to set her up on dates that go horrendously wrong every time… While she may have given up, her friends haven’t. Enter the male romantic lead, Alex. With his soft Scottish accent, infectious grin and blue eyes as twinkly as fairylights, Rowan wouldn’t mind finding him in her stocking this Christmas…

You’re gonna love this romantic comedy so definitely add Santa, Please Bring Me a Boyfriend by Sophie Ranald to your reading list for Christmas. Also, don’t act like you haven’t asked Santa to bring you a nice man in the past. I see you, girl. My own Jaime from Outlander is still on my Christmas wish list.

10. Icebreaker: A Novel

Anastasia has been working her entire life for a shot at Team USA in the Olympics. This has been a popular among BookTok and it’s easy to see why! While this may not be a romantic Christmas tale, it takes place on the ice which is something a lot of us associate with Christmas.

When a facilities mishap means Anastasia and the hottie captain of the hockey team Nate are forced to share a rink. Nate’s focus as team captain is on keeping his team on the ice.. andAnastasia can’t stand him. This is an excellent enemies to lovers romance. Read Icebreak by Hannah Grace here.

11. Lovelight Farms

This is one of my favorite Christmas novels for adults. If you love the fake dating trope, friends to lovers, and small town charm with a dash of this could possible be a cheesy Hallmark Holiday movie, then this is for you. A holiday romance is definitely needed for a good social media story. Enter Stella Bloom who enters a contest with instafamous influencer Evelyn St. James hoping to save her Christmas tree farm. With the added publicity and the $100,000 cash prize, she might just be able to save the farm from its financial woes.

To make the farm seem like a romantic destination for the holidays, she lied on the application and said she owns Lovelight Farms with her boyfriend. Only there is no boyfriend… And that’s where her bestie Luka Peters comes in and gets dragged into the holiday shenanigans. Definitely put Lovelight Farms by Pippa Jayne on your spicy Christmas romance books list.

13. The Plight Before Christmas

If you’re looking for free Christmas books for Kindle unlimited, then put this one on your spicy Christmas books list and let’s jump into a sexy holiday. TBH we need more books with a Christmas theme for adults. If you’re looking for a hilarious main character with sharp wit and a love for Christmas puns, you’re gonna love this read.

Clark Griswold is one pissed little elf and wants to shit in Santa’s stocking after all the bad luck she’s encountered before the end of the year. With another breakup, a broken toe, and a promotion she didn’t get, she’s ready to tackle the holidays in her grandma’s ancient cabin… With the help of the three wise men Johnnie Walker, Jack Daniels, and Jim Beam.

Except her brother shows up with his new bestie… Her college boyfriend and first love who obliterated her heart. Feeling like a tiny shit Santa, she downs that one last cup of eggnog and finds herself sleeping with Satan’s wingman on the eve of the Lord’s birthday. Keep the kiddies away from this one for this is one of the best Christmas books for adults. Get your copy of The Plight Before Christmas by Kate Stewart here.

14. Holiday Romance

You know me. I’m a sucker for any Christmas novella that takes place in Chicago. Because legit… Chicago is magical at Christmas. Christmas stories of love always have a bit of heart warming magic. And this is exactly what this Christmas romance book has. Molly and Andrew are just trying to get home to Ireland for the holidays when a freak snowstorm grounds their flight. Once a year, for the last ten years, Molly has spent seven hours and fifteen minutes sitting next to Andrew on the last flight before Christmas drinking terrible airplane wine and catching up on each other’s lives.

Andrew is a full-on fanatic for the festive season, and she knows how much getting back to Ireland means to him. (As a past expat, I can totally relate to this sentiment.) Molly vows to get Andrew in time for his mam’s famous Christmas dinner. Get Holiday Romance by Catherine Walsh here.

15. The Christmas Blanket

Coming up hot on your best Christmas novels for adults list, we have The Christmas Blanket by Kandi Steiner. If you enjoy reading about a second chance at romance then this short holiday story is for you. I know we’re all short on time during the end of the year so put this on your list of Christmas short stories for adults. When Eliza goes back home to Wellhaven, Vermont, for Christmas, she get the Christmas gift that keeps on giving… A preset in the form of a blizzard. She hasn’t been home in four years since she set her eyes on adventure and left everything behind… Including her handsome ex-husband, River Jensen.

After Eliza’s rental car slides off the icy road she gets stuck in a cabin with River… And being inside leaves nothing but time for them to get to know each other all over again.

16. A Court of Frost and Starlight

This book takes place during the winter solstice and Feyre’s birthday. You didn’t think my best adult Christmas books recommendations would come without a nod to the fantasy queen, Sarah J. Maas, do you? If you’re looking for novels with a Christmas theme, then this has definitely got it. ACOFAS has chapters written from each of our favorite character’s point of views. The book follows Feyre as she navigates her first Winter Solstice as High Lady. Her friends and family have more emotional wounds than she anticipated… that definitely have an impact on the future of their court. A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas explores the far-reaching effects of a devastating war and the fierce love between friends.

I hope you enjoy this spicy Christmas romance books list. After all… Nothing like a dirty Christmas story accompanied with your eggnog to warm your filthy mind up.
